VNPA to Lead Delegation at SENA in Boston
The Viet Nam Pangasius Association (VNPA) will lead a three-member delegation at Seafood Expo North American (SENA) in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, from March 15 to 17.
The VNPA delegation will be led Chairman Dr. Nguyen Viet Thang, Vice Chairman and General Secretary Dr. Vo Hung Dung and Mr. Tran Van Hung, a member of the executive committee.
VNPA represents more than 300 members related to the Vietnamese Pangasius industry. Most of the members are concentrated in Mekong Delta, a key area of Pangasius processing and exporting in Vietnam.
GAA signed a memorandum of understanding with VNPA in January to recognize both parties’ interest in advancing responsible Pangasius aquaculture in Vietnam and globally through the exchange of information and research.
GAA looks forward to introducing the VNPA delegation at its membership at SENA at the GAA/BAP update meeting in Room 205C of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on Monday, March 16, from 3 to 5 p.m.
There are 11 Best Aquaculture Practices-certified Pangasius processing plants in Vietnam, of which four are 2 Star and one is 3 Star. Exhibitors in Boston include Bien Dong Seafood Company Ltd. (booth 1033), Cadovimex Im-Ex & Processing Joint Stock Co. (booth 2272) and Vinh Hoan Corporation (booth 1033).
